Telegram Premium features and free account limits
Telegram Premium is Telegram's own paid subscription. It unlocks bigger files, faster downloads, higher limits and profile extras at once. A gifted account gets every feature, the same as a paid subscription.
What Premium unlocks
4 GB per file
Free accounts send files up to 2 GB. Premium doubles it to 4 GB, so long videos, big archives and original photo sets go in one piece.
Faster downloads
Premium accounts download media and files with no speed limit, as fast as the network allows.
Doubled limits
1,000 channels and groups (free 500), 20 chat folders (free 10), 10 pinned chats and up to 4 accounts in one app.
Voice to text
Read voice and video messages as text with one tap, handy when you cannot play sound.
Translate whole chats
Translate entire channels and chats in another language at once, not message by message.
No ads in public channels
Sponsored messages under public channels are hidden, so you only see the posts you came for.
Premium stickers and emoji
Animated Premium stickers, reactions and thousands of custom emoji for messages and your status.
Profile extras
Emoji status, profile and name colors, animated profile photos and the Premium badge next to your name.
Telegram Business
Opening hours, location, quick replies, greeting and away messages and chatbot connections are included.
Free vs Premium limits
Premium roughly doubles every limit. Based on the limits Telegram publishes.

Is a gifted Premium the same?
A gifted Premium has exactly the same features as one bought in the Telegram app. The Premium badge appears next to the name and every feature works for the whole period. If the account already has Premium, the gifted months are added after the time left.
When the period ends, the account goes back to free. Chats and files stay; only Premium features and the higher limits return to the free levels.
Prices by duration
- 3 months $8.00, $2.66 per month
- 6 months $11.00, $1.83 per month
- 12 months $17.00, $1.41 per month
